World Cup #1 Millau - Training

The first event of the World Cups is being held in Millau, France alongside the Natural Games.

After a drive to Dover, early morning ferry and an even longer drive we arrived late Saturday night. Despite a fairly late night, we were keen to be up bright and early for the morning's free session. The feature was great and the eddies reasonably empty and all-in-all a very good session.

Over the past few days we have been doing our GB training slot as well as 1 or 2 free session practises giving us more time to learn the feature and practise moves. With the prior dry period that France has seen, the water levels in the Tarn are low. However the course is still fab, even though it is not at its highest. There is a small concrete ledge which is a must to avoid but otherwise a very nice hole.

In the last sessions, I have been working on loops, space godzillas, cartwheels and a few spins to make up my ride and reach my target of 200-300 points.

Tomorrow is a rest day before a Junior Women training session Thursday morning and the heats that afternoon, so we are visiting the famous bridge in Millau which is the highest bridge in Europe.
