Before leaving for the World Cup, I was nominated for a local award: Malvern Hills Young Female Sports Personality of the Year. I was invited to the presentation evening but unfortunately, I would be at the World Cups.
Whilst I was away, my Mum and sister attended the presentation evening, where I was awarded the winner of the category. It was an amazing honor and complete surprise to be awarded the Young Female Sports Personality 2014, despite some tough competition and other worthy winners.
I would just like to thank everyone for their support and the nomination, as well as being awarded the winner!
