Very Windy HPP

With having to head north to Sheffield for a University interview, it was another great chance to go kayaking! Although it was sunny pretty much all the way up, and in the rest on Nottingham, there was some ominous grey clouds lurking near to HPP.

On the water, it was incredibly windy with inlet acting as a funnel to concentrate the already strong winds. The spray from the water, and pulling ourselves up each time, made the whole paddling thing very difficult. After a short break, the winds had picked up, hitting Gale Force 7 and even blowing Alex's carbon part way down the course.

While paddling, I realised that I had neglected some moves for some time - particularly a left Space Godzilla. After a few attempts with some interesting variations, they soon seemed to come back but it was a good reminder to maintain bilateral practise. I also tried doing more left McNasty's as I often just go for he switch - however, it took a fair few attempts to get my head around doing everything in reverse and still needs lots of practise.
