Cardiff

With already being in Cardiff for GB Selections, but without the water releasing at 10 cumecs (the level for competition) apart from Friday evening, I decided to take the opportunity to get some practice in a slightly larger boat.

Throughout the two days, I did many laps of Cardiff and hit every eddy on the course as well as surfing every feature. We even attempted eddies, that weren't so much eddies. Having been in freestyle boats predominantly for the last few years, it was good to get in a big boat and have a mess around, learning new skills and having plenty of fun!

Now the fingers are crossed and hoping for some rain in the UK to try a few (real) rivers, before heading out to Italy and hitting up some of the Alps runs.

Thanks to Lyndon for the photos!
