With Go Canoeing week in full swing, our club decided to hold a special club evening, to see how many paddlers we could have attend. Currently, with over 100 members we were expecting lots of paddlers, and ended up having just under 50 on the water. This was enough to make a raft across the width of the Avon.
We then all paddled the distance up to Wyre Weir for a short surf, before heading back for BBQ and to demo boats and kit from the Leam Boat Centre.
It was good to see lots of people on the river and enjoying the fantastic weather, and we hope for it to be even bigger next year!
