Paddle in the Park 2017

With just over a week before we head out to Europe for the summer, there was one last chance to paddle in Nottingham, for Paddle in the Park. Focused at getting people on the water it was an awesome event, the whole site was super busy and there was even good weather!

On Saturday, it was a case of mainly just paddling, while Younguns also held an event. The warm weather and sunshine, meant short waits for features but this didn't really matter as it was, for once, good weather. There was a good range of paddlers on the water with everything from sit on tops on the lagoon to tubing, rafting and kayaking on whitewater.

Sunday was also lucky to hold out on the good weather and the fun continued with suppliers and stalls offering demos and knowledge. In addition, with a slight change from the usual, NFL hosted their next event, this time in twin. By my heat, the wind had actually picked up a bit, and having not done much in twin lately, it was a little bit cold and tough to start with but by the end getting used to it more. (I was even brave enough to party wave with Asha in my carbon!)

Overall it was a great weekend with lots of activities on and off the water, and awesome to see so many familiar faces but also new ones too. Excited to be off round Europe and getting some proper warm weather boating and competition in!
